Friday 1st May

Friday 1st May
May Day, the 1st of May, is an old spring festival with traditions found across Europe and beyond. It marks a threshold in the year, when the land feels more fully awake and life moves outward again. In older farming customs, cattle were often led out from their winter housing and returned to the fields, beginning their season of fresh grazing. As the afternoon comes, the Moon moves into Libra, bringing a lighter, more airy quality. With the Full Moon in Libra, there may be a sense of brightness, balance, and openness. In the garden, we may feel this too, noticing the blossom, flowers, and beauty of the wider landscape as animals, plants, soil, and sky move together in the living rhythm of the year.
