The Moon rises in the constellation of Taurus, rooting us in our thoughts and actions. In biodynamic agriculture, when the Moon is in Taurus, it is an ideal time to tend to root vegetables, such as carrots, beetroots, and onions. In the garden, we could hoe around these root crops to prevent weeds from becoming established. Weeds can be added to a long-term compost pile, while pernicious weeds like bindweed and bramble are best burned, and the ashes can be dispersed back into the soil.
