Thursday 10th April

Thursday 10th April
As the moon transitions from the fire of Leo to the earthy sign of Virgo, our attention is drawn to the soil and all that stirs beneath the surface. It’s an ideal moment to tend the compost pile, turning it to encourage healthy breakdown and balance. Through the lens of the four elements, we can assess its needs: Earth relates to carbon-rich materials like straw and leaves, providing structure; Water reflects moisture — is it too dry or overly wet? Air corresponds to oxygen — can the pile breathe, or is it becoming anaerobic? And Fire links to nitrogen-rich greens like grass clippings or nettles, which bring warmth and vitality. In caring for compost, we participate in a quiet alchemy, returning waste to life.
