Thursday 20th November
Today, we arrive at the New Moon, as the delicate crescent that has accompanied us over recent nights has now waned completely. This New Moon also sits at apogee, its furthest point from the Earth, creating a subtle lightness in the day’s mood and in the garden’s rhythms. It is a favourable moment to tend to leafy greens; as the Moon continues its steady passage through Scorpio, we may consider transplanting salads into the greenhouse, or outside in warmer climates. The quieter lunar forces invite us to work gently, focusing on small, attentive tasks rather than vigorous activity. In this pause between cycles, both garden and gardener can breathe, reset, and prepare for the growth to come.
