Thursday 23rd April
The Moon rises in Gemini, the Twins, where the planet Jupiter can be seen in the evening sky. By finding the visible planets and knowing the constellations they move through, we can begin to build a living cosmic picture in our observations. Beside Gemini lies Taurus, and on the other side Cancer, forming a wider gesture across the heavens. Through regular observation, we can deepen our connection to the cosmos and begin to sense the cycles unfolding above us. For generations, our ancestors looked to the night sky for wisdom, inspiration, and orientation. Today, in our bright cities, where decisions for the course of humanity are made, the stars can barely be seen. We might begin to ask whether this loss of the night sky reflects a deeper disconnection within ourselves.a
