Tuesday 24th March The Moon rises in the constellation of Taurus, offering a grounding quality to the day. In the garden, this is a good moment to make final adjustments to our planting plans, considering which vegetables and flowers grow well alongside one another. Often, those plants that pair harmoniously in the kitchen also thrive together in the soil — such as tomato and basil, or carrot and onion. In biodynamics, we seek to work within the garden organism, recognising the garden as its own living individuality. We may also turn towards the genius loci of the place, and through deep observation come to sense its essence. All of this draws the gardener into a closer relationship with the garden, and the garden into a deeper relationship with the gardener.
